CHALLENGE: Without a cohesive, mature design system, the goal is to be the design lead to create all the wireframes and mockups for the entire revamp of the admin console that is essential for Data Ops and Sales for collecting and managing data. The redesign will provide improved search, filter and sort functionalities, business intelligence, improved performance, healthier data quality, and overall a better user experience to increase productivity and generate better quality, data-driven reporting. These mock ups will be essential for use by a partnered development team based in India working collaboratively with our Director of Product Development, Technical Architect and Senior Devs to provide clear requirements during sprint planning.
RESULTS: Over 100 hi-fidelity mockups have been created since March 2021 and the revamp of the admin console is in full swing. The UX research and design thinking has greatly improved the UX of the admin console as it was developed with no UX design consideration resulting in a serious threat to the health of the data quality. This work has inspired the Senior Executive leadership, Director of Product Development, Design Team and Dev Teams to take steps to get myself and Design Team to invest in UX design thinking to create the MVP roadmap before any sprint planning and development commences.
